Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop

I am so excited to be part of my first ever blog hop! The Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop challenge was to use any stamp set from the January to June mini catalogue, or the Annual Catalogue and it really was a challenge to decide which one I wanted to highlight. I chose Friends are like Seashells as it's quickly become a go-to set in my craft room. The beautiful sentiments, distinctive stamps and co-ordinating dies combined with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder make creating stunning cards easy.

I used Sahara Sand for the card base, cut 4 1/4 x 11" scored at 2 3/4 on each end of the long side. I then cut two pieces of Mint Macaron 2 5/8 x 4 1/8 and two of Basic White 2 1/2 x 4.

I stamped images onto the Basic white pieces using Seaside Spray, Sahara Sand and Mint Macaron.

I used the Love You Always foil sheet (in Sahara Sand) to cut out the seashells from the large die cut and then embossed with the Seashells 3D embossing folder before fussy cutting each seashell. I used a piece of fine sandpaper to rub off some of the raised foil details.

The Stitched So Sweetly dies are my favourite for sentiments. I stamped on Basic white and layered with Mint Macaron. Then I was ready to assemble. I completed the card with embellishments from the Artistry Blooms Sequins (they are Coastal Cabana but the colour worked well)

  3. Charming! I like the soft brown, green and blues with the shiny foil. Sanding the foil lightly is a great idea. - Max
