Canada Inks Up! January 2022 Blog Hop

Welcome to the first Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop of 2022

Our theme this month is the new 2022 J-J Mini Catalogue.
This mini catalogue is packed with more than 50 stamp sets, 25 sets of dies and 8 Designer Series Paper packages it was hard to choose which one to highlight!

I settled on keeping it simple, as is my style...so I am using the Flowing Flowers stamp set, Blackberry Bliss ink and a piece of the New Horizons DSP.

Originally when I stamped the flower image (once fully inked and the other two after stamping off) I thought I might layer the DSP onto Rich Razzleberry card stock, however I changed my mind and stayed with Blackberry Bliss card stock as it looked better (in my opinion). To be honest I almost double mounted it haha.

This distinctive stamp set does not come with dies, but they are really easy to 'fussy cut' using Stampin' Up! Paper Snips. After cutting out the flowers I adhered them to the Blackberry Bliss card stock and cut them out a second time leaving a border.

This sentiment is perfect for us card makers
as these days so many use their mobility device to keep in touch.
I did use a Taylor Made Tag to die cut the shape and
attached it to the card using dimensionals.

No card is complete without some embellishment!
The only ribbon I had on hand was the Fresh Freesia Open Weave
(which, not surprisingly, coordinated really well)
and I chose to colour the Basic Rhinestone Jewels using
the dark Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Blend.

This card would be lovely in many different colours and
is fairly easy to make with only a few supplies.
Simple, easy and so perfect for that someone special.

Happy stampin' my crafty friends!
