Welcome to the Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop. As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I am constantly inspired by others and look forward to seeing what they come up with when challenged. This month's blog hop theme is 'anything but Christmas' so I chose to focus on two stamp sets you can get for FREE until the end of the month! I am first and foremost a very simple stamper, however I struggle with colour choices. For my card, I chose Mango Melody and So Saffron with a touch of Mossy Meadow because I don't use these often.
Delicate Dahlia's is a two step stamp, so I first stamped it in So Saffron and then in Mango Melody
and then I fussy cut the image.
For the leaves, I stamped the outline in Mossy Meadow and used the same ink
for the fill (but stamped off once to lighten the colour)
I stamped the sentiment in Mango Melody and then cut it out with a shape die
from the Tasteful Label Dies... I use these ALL THE TIME!
When it was time to put my card together I used;
Mossy Meadow card base (5.5 x 8.5 scored at 4.25 portrait)
So Saffron layer (4 x 5.25)
Mango Melody piece (4 x 3.75)
This last piece I ran thru my Cut&Emboss mashing
using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.
Final touch is always bling...today I chose the Artistry Blooms Adhesive-backed Sequins
A very simple, yet cheerful card to send off to a friend
