Canada Inks Up Team Blog Hop

This month our team blog hop challenge was to highlight the new
Stampin' Up! 2021-2023 In-Colors.
As a simple stamper, I love using ink in a variety of ways and knew that
sponging a background would make a stunning display of the new colours
and how they work together.
I paired this with the Expressions in Ink Suite.

To make the background, I randomly sponged all five In-Colors
(Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Polished Pink)
on a piece of Basic White 4"x 5.25"
Once finished, this got attached to a standard card base in Soft Succulent card stock
measuring 8.5" x 5.5" scored at 4.25"

I chose this beautiful image from the Artistic Dies
and cut from Soft Succulent card stock
and then I attached it to the sponged layer using Multipurpose glue.

To add dimension I stamped and cut the three small flowers
from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set
(and Coordinating dies) in Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia and Polished Pink ink.
I then adhered these using Stampin' Dimensionals and Multipurpose Glue.

A simple Happy Birthday (from the Artistically Inked set) inked in Soft Succulent
on a scrap strip of Basic White, sponged edges and adhered with dimensionals.

A little piece of ribbon and my card is complete...
an easy yet lovely way to highlight the amazing new Stampin' Up! 2021-2022 In-Colors

Please take some time to see what the other wonderful demonstrators have created...

Embellishment Caddy

Recently I learned how to make this adhesive caddy for my desktop that I use to hold my Liquid glue, glue dots and dimensional.

I created a matching holder for my embellishments to match.
Here is step by step how I did this.
I cut three pieces of matching cardstock (Pacific point) 5.5"x4.5", 6.5"x7" and 6.5x9"

The smallest one I scored at 2" and 2.5" on the short side (4.5")
and then scored at 1/2" on each end of the long side (5.5")

The second piece I scored at 1" on each end of the short side (6.5")
and then 3" and 4" on the longer side (7")

The third piece I scored at  1" on each end of the short side (6.5")
and then at 4" and 5" on the long side (7")

After using my bone folder to crease these score lines,
I then cut and notched slightly along each of the middle sections along the side.

This allowed me to be able to fold in and adhere the sides.

I did this with all three 'boxes' which I then adhered to each other in gradient sizes.

At this point your caddy is ready for embellishments such as DSP, ribbon, bling...it's your choice.

I finished mine simply using a piece of (retired) DSP that measured 1.75"x4.25"
The smallest box holds the Artistry Blooms Sequins
and then I just put my other embellishments in order by size.
